  Paints required: Wraithbone spray Averland Sunset Yriel Yellow Cassandora Yellow Screaming Skull Abaddon Black Leadbelcher Corax White Balthasar Gold Eshin Grey Gryph-Charger Grey Nuln Oil Mephiston Red Evil Suns Scarlet Wild Rider Red I began by giving the aircraft an undercoat with  Wraithbone spray .  Then a basecoat of  Averland Sunset , thinned with a little water, was applied over the miniature. I used a large drybrush and worked quickly, avoiding returning to panels already covered. It took around 2 coats to get a nice solid finish. When this initial basecoat was fully dry the aircraft was given a second basecoat with  Yriel Yellow  (a layer paint). Again, this was thinned with a little water and applied with the medium drybrush. Three coats were required to get a nice smooth finish.                            As I continue to work through the legions for Aeronautica Imperialis I wanted to paint up the loyalist Blood Angels. The Blood Angels are famous for their mastery of the skies, for being one of the legions that defended the Emperor's palace and for being one of the main legions of Space Marine used by Games Workshop. The Blood Angel livery is a bright red with some splashes of black. This is my take on their scheme. I used a Medium drybrush and worked quickly, avoiding returning to panels already covered. It took around 2 coats to get a nice solid finish. When the basecoats were full dry, Nuln Oil   was painted into the recesses and around the panels of the aircraft using a small detail brush (I use synthetic brushes for this job). Try to be neat but do not worry too much as you can always tidy the miniature up with a little Night Lords Blue. Allow the Nuln Oil to full dry.   Over the past few years, I have been painting and playing Aeronautica Imperialis. It is one of my favourite games from Games Workshop. To play the low altitude version of the game, I needed some terrain. The Imperial Buildings from Adeptus Titanicus are perfect for this, as they are the correct scale. These building will also make for excellent ground targets.   In 1990, I read the Hobbit for the first time. A tale of a band of dwarves, who set off on a quest to retrieve their lost treasure from a dragon. At the same time as reading this book, I had just begun my first foray into miniature collecting and as such I was drawn to the dwarves. In my first few years of miniature collecting, I tried to build a dwarven army, but unfortunately, I never had the funds and so it was never built. With my discovery of Oathmark, I have developed a certain amount of nostalgia for my younger years. On top of this, I have been building a goblin force. So, it only feels right, that the ancient enemies of the goblins get to battle against the dwarves once again.   To build this army, I wanted to use the Warhammer third edition Armies book to guide my troop choices. When I started collecting miniature, way back in 1990, my first miniatures were Dwarves. At the time, these were all metal miniatures for Warhammer Fantasy Battle and as a kid I could never afford many. As a result, I was never able to afford an army.
