How I Paint - Blades of Khorne - Kamandora's Blades

Image
When Kamandora's Blades were initially previewed, I was a little underwhelmed, much like the rest of the community. However, as time passed, I began to form a clearer image in my head of how I wanted them to look. I took inspiration from my other Khorne miniatures, especially my other Underworlds warbands, and decided to draw on their background of hunting for worthy skulls to guide the warband’s aesthetic. I imagined them roaming through the scorched wastelands left behind by the Blades of Khorne, littered with burnt-out structures and charred corpses. From this, the idea struck me: these madmen could use bone ash and charcoal to ‘decorate’ their faces with skull-like paint. And that’s how the concept for my Blades was born. This is my take on Kamandora’s Blades. Raging Slayer - Deck Review

Image
Overview Raging Slayer is the third Strike-style Rivals deck released for Warhammer Underworlds: Embergard . It introduces a bold new mechanic that rewards players who embrace relentless aggression and combat efficiency. Core Mechanic: Rage and Rerolls This deck features a Plot card, making it the fourth out of nine Rivals decks to include one. As with other decks using a Plot card, this limits compatibility in Nemesis mode. (See Nemesis Pairing section below) Built around the new Rage mechanic, the deck thrives on raw offensive pressure supported by reliable dice control. The Plot card introduces Rage, which serves as the heart of the deck. Whenever a fighter Charges, they become enraged, gaining a rage token that grants them a reroll on their next melee attack. This transforms every Charge into a genuine threat and makes the deck ideal for players who prefer sustained aggression over cautious positioning. This re-roll mechanic is one of the biggest reasons to play the deck. I...

Hobby Goals - July 25

Painting After some time away from painting, I finally found a comfortable way to pick up my brushes again. I started by returning to the Knives of the Crone . Having finished Tazari last month, I continued work on Kaerna Vix , Krieta , and Azphael . I finished them in reasonably short order, as most of the basecoats were already applied. With these complete, I was once again up to date with Warhammer Underworlds. (64 warbands and all the terrain pieces). 👉 How I Paint - Daughters of Khaine - Knives of the Crone Knives of the Crone I then decided to return to painting a few Aeronautica Imperialis aircraft. I wanted to paint them as members of the Fourth Legion , the Iron Warriors . It was really nice returning to my little planes, now I just need to get them on the board for a few games. 👉 How I Paint - Legions Imperialis - Iron Warriors Iron Warriors' Xiphons With nothing in particular to paint until Kamandora's Blades arrive on my doorstep, I popped into the loft for a ...

How I paint Chaos Daemons - Feculent Gnarlmaw

Image
The Feculant Gnarlmaw is a grotesque daemonic tree for the forces of Nurgle. It provides buffs to nearby Maggotkin but cost no points in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. As such they can be overlook, even though they are an essential part of the army. The Gnarlmaw has a range of different components, each requiring a different paint scheme and set of techniques. This is my take on painting this miniature.
