  Warhammer Underworlds - Analysis Series - Guard By Jon Grant 1st May 2026 A few months ago, I started writing my Warhammer Underworlds Analysis Series . Here, I sought to uncover some of the maths buried in the game as a mechanism to influence decision‑making. The first article looked at durability in Warhammer Underworlds . This I defined as the total number of successful 2‑damage attacks required to remove all fighters in a warband. There are two key ways to think about this: Base Durability Assumes all attacks hit and all saves fail. This focuses purely on the Health and fighter count of a warband. Save‑Adjusted Durability Accounts for each fighter’s saves, which can cause attacks to fail and force your opponent to spend more activations to remove your fighters. Hobby Goals - April 26

  Jon Grant Miniatures April 2026 Hobby Update by Jon Grant 1st May 2026 Painting I began the month with the aim of painting Thanatek’s Tithe. As of the beginning of March, they were the only Warhammer Underworlds warband that I had yet to paint. I chose the same colour scheme I used for Kainan’s Reapers, bone and purples to represent Shyish, the Realm of Death. I really enjoyed painting this warband and I continue to love the Ossiarch Bonereaper aesthetic, although I doubt I will ever paint a larger force for them. While working on the Mortis Reapers, I also wrote a painting guide, which you can find linked here . My Tithe Afterwards, I decided to paint four Moonclan Grot archers for my Gloomspite Gitz. For these miniatures, I followed my existing Moonclan Grot painting guide. Returning to the loft, I rediscovered my Wrath and Rapture box set from 2019.
